Who can help?

To finish getting all of the groups tagged and sorted will take a lot of volunteers. We can find a role for anyone who is willing to devote time to this. We can especially use people with at least one of the following skills or traits:

- detail-oriented
- know a language other than English
- have an area of expertise (such as a fandom or a genre of music)
- good at performing difficult searches of the Internet to track down information
- comfortable with installing a program and learning to use it
- good at recruiting others


Later on we may be able to use someone who is skilled with scripts.

Can I help out right now?

Absolutely! Tagging is in full swing and we need all the help we can get. Just head over to our Discord server and follow the directions to get started. (If you don't do Discord, you're welcome to PM me or join the #yahoogroups channel on the Hackint IRC server. I don't check IRC often, though, so if you do that, leave a comment here to let me know to look for you there.)

Is there a way to know if you have found my group yet? It was Lean and Luscious Kitchen Witchery. I was going through medical issues during the time they were shut down. I’m just standing back up. XoAmy

I can definitely tell you if we saved the group or not - I have those lists where it's easy to access. I'd need to know the exact group name as it was on Yahoo, though. "Lean and Luscious Kitchen Witchery" sounds like what might have gone in the group's summary field, but the actual group name couldn't have spaces and was used in the group's url. Do you know what link was used on Yahoo to get to the group? The name will be in that.

apmultiples group?

I so appreciate that you're doing this! I'm a writer, and I've been wanting to a do a project on my early days with twins (b 2007). At the time, I was a member of apmultiples and I wrote so many emails about those early days with two babies at once, and received so many helpful and heartfelt replies. Last two years I was so distracted by my father's illness and death that I forgot to log into my Yahoo account before some deadline and so lost years of personal emails, including the apmultiples but also travelogues, etc. Sigh. It would be wonderful if I could retrieve at least the group's again.

I can confirm that that group name *was* indeed saved! Due to the work involved in pulling groups out of the mess of data they ended up in, however, we're only doing that as a perk for the volunteers who are helping organize. If you're interested in accessing the group's data early, you're welcome to join in by tagging a tab of groups. (I recommend joining the Discord server, if so.)
